Reigning title and Cup holders in Poland achieved a hard-fought win against the biggest highlight this season in PlusLiga, Developres Rzeszów 3-2 (25-18, 17-25, 25-19, 22-25, 15-9), in the city of Zielona Gora, where the Final Four is held. Chemik had as much as six players with double digits. Malwina Smarzek stood out with 14 points.

Budowlani Łódź players showed an amazing fighting spirit in the other semifinal match since they recovered from 0-2 in sets against Impel Wrocław. Thus, Budowlani will have a chance to repeat a 2010 when they won their only trophy in the Polish Cup in the club history, so far. Belgian Kaja Grobelna topped Budowlani’s scorers with 26 points.

The final match is scheduled for Sunday, February 5, at 14:45 C.E.T.
