With Pila she won 4 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals in the Polish Championships, four Polish Cups and one Super Cup. In 2000, she took fourth place in the Champions League Final. In the season 2001/2002 she was elected team captain. She served this position for ten years.
From 1997-2000 and in 2007 she played for the Polish national team. In 1997 and 1999 she took part in the European Championships.
“Each coach can only wish to have such as personality like Agnieszka Kosmatka. I remember her as a great athlete that treated volleyball very seriously. She knew what she wanted in life and sport” Zbigniew Krzyzanowski said.
The main character, often called the “Pila volleyball icon” didn’t hide her emotions. “I am happy that I could play for you, I will stay with the club forever” she said. Agnieszka Kosmatka played for Pila for 15 years. She will now be the team’s manager.
“I can’t imagine myself outside of volleyball. The most beautiful moment of my sports career is winning the Polish championship in 1999” Agnieszka said in an interview.
She likes to watch tennis best, and her idols in that sport are Djokovic, Nadal and Federer.
