Trefl continued to play on the wings of winning the national cup as they notched the second straight win after achieving this success. In Round 20 of Plus Liga, the players coached by Italian Andrea Anastasi made a sensational comeback after being two sets down against Jastrzębski, whose 2-game winning streak under the guidance of Anastasi’s compatriot Ferdinando De Giorgi came to an end.
Damian Schulz topped Trefl with 18 points, followed by Artur Szalpuk who tallied 16 points and was awarded MVP of the match. In Jastrzębski, Maciej Muzaj scored 21 points. Wojciech Sobala made 4 kill blocks (12 points).
ONICO Warszawa returned to the spot No.2 after beating hosts Espadon Szczecin in four sets with 21 points from Wojciech Włodarczyk and 4 kill blocks from Macedonian Nikola Gjorgiev (18 points).
