Zenit Kazan retired the No.1 jersey of an American outside hitter Matthew Anderson prior to Game 1 of the 2018/19 Superliga semifinals against Fakel Novy Urengoy

Anderson, who will play for Azimut Leo Shoes Modena in Italy next season, spent the last seven years as part of Zenit during which he made more than 270 appearances and won 18 trophies.

He still has a chance to win two more titles with the Kazan team knowing that Zenit are currently competing in the national championship playoff semifinals and will play the 2019 CEV Champions League final.
