In the decisive match for the trophy at the Final Four of the 2020 Russian Men’s Cup (official name: Russian Cup named after Konstantin Reva), Dinamo Moscow beat the organizers of the tournament Zenit Saint Petersburg in straight sets: 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-19).
Both sides played the final after exhausting semifinal encounters, with the only difference that the Dinamo players had a few hours more to rest. Bulgarian Tsvetan Sokolov top-scored the team from the country’s capital with 18 points, while Egor Kliuka collected 13 for Zenit.
Dinamo won their third Russian Cup (the sixth counting the competition in the Soviet Union) and the first trophy in domestic club volleyball since 2009. As for Zenit, they lost the final match for the national cup the third year in a row.
