RUS M: Sammelvuo calls 15 players to ‘Zbornaya’ squad for VNL

The list of players that will represent the defending champions Russia in the 2021 FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League is released.

Tuomas Sammelvuo, the head coach of the Russia Men, has made his decisions on the composition of his team for the VNL 2021 in Rimini, Italy. The Finnish expert called 15 players for the last international volleyball event prior to the Tokyo Olympic Games. ‘Zbornaya’ is a 2-time defending champion and also the only winner of the VNL since its inception in 2018.

The 15-man squad of Russia Men:

Igor Kobzar (Kuzbass)

Pavel Pankov (Dinamo Moscow);

Opposite hitters:

Maksim Mikhaylov (Zenit-Kazan)

Dmitriy Muserskiy (Suntory Sunbirds, JPN)

Viktor Poletaev (Zenit St. Petersburg);

Middle blockers:

Ilya Vlasov (Dinamo Moscow)

Artem Volvich (Zenit-Kazan)

Ilyas Kurkaev (Lokomotiv);

Outside hitters:

Denis Bogdan (Fakel)

Dmitriy Volkov (Fakel)

Egor Kliuka (Zenit St. Petersburg)
