In front of a roaring home crowd, Dynamo Moscow defeated Zenit Kazan in a commanding 3-0 sweep (25-22, 25-21, 25-23) to claim the 2024 Russian Volleyball Cup.
The packed arena wasn’t just full of fans—it was full of passion. Every serve, spike, and block had the crowd on its feet. Dynamo’s captain, Pavel Pankov, led with grit, while Tsvetan Sokolov and Yaroslav Podlesnykh delivered a standout performance. Tsvetan Sokolov shone as the top scorer of the match with 22 points, while Yaroslav Podlesnykh played a key supporting role, adding 10 points to the win.
After the win, an emotional Pankov dedicated the victory to his daughter on her birthday, saying, “This one’s for Kira. It’s been a tough journey, but we made it.” Coach Konstantin Bryansky added, “Our team fought for every moment, and the support from our fans pushed us to victory.”
