Moscow’s Dynamo defeated Zenit Kazan 3-2 in the first match of the Russian Men’s Volleyball Superliga final, taking a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five series.

Dynamo made a strong start, winning the opening two sets. Zenit responded with an impressive comeback, dominating the third set before edging the fourth to force a decider.
The visitors regained control in the tie-break, holding their nerve in the closing points to secure an important away victory.
Maksim Sapozhkov led Dynamo with 27 points, while Dmitriy Volkov scored 20 for Zenit Kazan.
The second match of the series will be played in Kazan on April 23.
