Anastasiya Shlyakhovaya, the middle blocker of the Russian national team, revealed that she will miss the beginning of the national championship because she is still recovering from an injury.
She stated that she won’t play the first game for Krasnodar in the domestic league, but she hopes that she will be able to help her teammates after that.
Russian championship starts on October 15-16. Krasnodar will open the season with the match against Avtodor-Metar Chelyabinsk.
Last season, Krasnodar qualified for the playoff quarterfinals as third in the regular season where they were eliminated by Uralochka-NTMK Sverdlovskaya oblast.
Due to injury, Shlyakhovaya missed all the actions with the Russian national team this season.
