Unlike the first meeting, when Russian downed Swiss champions, now Volero were the team who were dominating all the time in Moscow.
Marichev’s side had opportunity to take the second set but Volero somehow prevailed and later clinched the match in three sets.
It was the last friendly game before the start of the Olympic qualifying tournament (4-9 January).
