Dinamo vs. Piacenza
Dinamo Kazan avenged Dinamo Moscow for yesterday’s defeat. Russian title holders smashed Italian representative Nordmeccanica Piacenza in the first leg, in straight sets, partially 25-14, 25-23, 25-21.
Dinamo made an early gap in Sets 1 and 3, even before first technical time-out and maintained it until the end. What might give hope to Piacenza’s fans for the second leg was Set 2 when they showed their teeth, but not enough to take that part of the game.
Ekaterina Gamova was unstoppable in Dinamo with 20 points while Indre Sorokaite had 13 on the other side.
Second leg is scheduled on March 23.
