He was positive on banned substance meldonium and he already confirmed the date of using this drug for the last time.
“It is wrong and pointless in this situation to take the worst measures against me. Four year suspension – it would be a huge punishment for me. To finish career at age 25, I don’t like that” says Markin for Russian media.

For me, Russian team should not be disqualified since this drug was not made illegal from sports until Jan 1,2016. The European Olympic qualification was prior to this anouncement. Who knows if Vitamin C gonna be illegal next week?.. I’m not russian by the way.
Russia team was a disaster less than a year ago, and suddenly they became so powerfull to beat all the teams and qualified for Rio!!!
