This is definitely the topic No. 1 in volleyball world this week. Giba accused the Russian Olympic volleyball team for using doping in London 2012, while now the Russians are sending their answers to the Brazilian volleyball legend.
Vladimir Alekno went public, so as Alexey Verbov, while the next one in the line was Taras Khtey.
“We made Giba very sad in that Olympic finals, it is obvious now. He is still haunted by that defeat. Brazilians thought they have already won the gold after having a lead of 2-0 in sets… But they lost the match and Giba now wants to change the way he finished his volleyball career. The only truth is that we won that match on account of our skill, desire and faith. We did not use any dirty tricks,” said Khtey for R-Sport.
