Recall that Giba stated for „Globo Esporte“, on Sunday, that seven players from Russian men’s national team were under influence of doping in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Back then, Russia defeated Brazil in the gold medal match…
Former head coach of Russian men’s national team Vladimir Alekno had a really interesting answer for Giba, while now Alexey Verbov also decided to go public about this matter.
“You played in Russia. You know what we think about doping. Whoever uses it faces a huge risk of being suspended. You know me, Tetykhin, Volkov, Abramov… Are you sure that you want to accuse us? Brazil won the gold medal in Rio because they were better than all the other teams. Russia won the gold medal in London because of the same reason. You began to celebrate too early in that finals, but Tetyukhin believed until the end. So, are you saying now that a man like Tetyukhin won that gold medal because he used a drug? It is strange my friend to hear these words from you…” said Verbov for sport.business-gazeta.ru.
