How strong Dinamo Moscow are shows the fact that they beat playoff contenders Leningradka Saint Petersburg 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 26-24) even without three players that were in the line-up for the most of the season: Croatian Maja Poljak (recovering from minor injury), Nataliya Goncharova and Anna Malova. The main reason why Dinano Moscow coach Yuriy Panchenko left them out from the match was to get them ready for the highly important CEV Champions League clash against Swiss Volero Zürich, in eight days. With a triumh over Leningradka, who will now have to seek playoff spot in the last round, Dinamo Moscow secured first place for the playoffs.
Crushed by the major financial problems, Dinamo Krasnodar suffered sixth defeat in the championship. Proton Saratovskaya Oblast have proven to be better than the squad coached by Konstantin Ushakov, 3-0, partially 25-20, 30-28, 26-24. In the last round, Dinamo Krasnodar will have to get at least one point from their match against Yenisey Krasnoyarsk in order to save the spot number four.
