Ub’s volleyball players, led by coach Mirjana Musulin, made a strong comeback tonight, defeating Železničar with a clean 3-0 sweep (25:22, 25:16, 25:23) and pushing the Serbian playoff final to a thrilling deciding match.
Anet Alfonso Álvarez Benitez stepped up for Ub with an impressive 15 points and a 57% success rate. Bojana Čelić and Sana Anarkulova supported the win with 13 and 11 points respectively. On the other side, Jovana Zelenović was Železničar’s top scorer with 12 points but lacked backup.
The final showdown is set for Monday at 7 PM (CET) in Lajkovac, where the home team advantage might once again play a crucial role.
