Spartak Subotica captured its first Serbian Cup title on Thursday night, defeating defending champion Radnički Kragujevac 3-1 in the final of the 61st Serbian Cup.

Spartak won 25-20, 21-25, 25-20, 25-22 in a match that lasted 124 minutes, ending a 51-year wait for a major trophy. The club’s last title dated back to 1975.
Playing in front of a packed and vocal home crowd, Spartak delivered a composed performance against Radnički, which entered the match as the reigning cup holder and last season’s double champion.
Polish opposite Jakub Ziobrowski led Spartak with 25 points, anchoring the team’s offense throughout the match. Sam Flowerday added 12 points, and Vidak Cvetković finished with 10.
Radnički was paced by Mladen Bojović with 22 points, while Davide Kovač scored 14 and Ivan Ćirović contributed 13 in the loss.
Spartak took control early by winning the opening set 25-20 before Radnički leveled the match in the second. The home team regained momentum in the third set and held off a late push in the fourth to seal the victory.
The win marks a historic moment for Spartak and the city of Subotica, which had waited more than half a century to celebrate another major volleyball title.
