Argentine coach Daniel Castellani, who already led Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta in the 2011/2012 and 2013-2015 seasons, has signed a contract with Turkish powerhouse for the next 2 seasons.
Experienced coach worked with the national teams of Argentina Finland and Poland. In 2009, he took over the helm of the Polish national team, with which he won a gold medal at the European Championships.
At the club level, Castellani worked in clubs from Argentina, Brazil, Belgium, Turkey, Poland and Italy.
From 2006 to 2009 he led the PGE Skra Bełchatów and won the Polish Championship three times, twice the Polish Cup (2007, 2009) and the third place in the Champions League (2008).
In the 2012/2013 season he was the head coach of ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle. Among others, he was at the helm of Fenerbahce (TUR), Sir Safety Perugia (ITA), Noliko Maaseik (BEL) and Funvic Taubate (BRA). He spent the last two seasons as the head coach of the Polish Indykpol AZS Olsztyn.
In the previous period with Fenerbahçe he won CEV Challenge Cup 2013/2014, Turkish Championship 2010/2011 and 2011/2012, Turkish National Cup 2011/2012 and Turkish Super Cup 2011/2012.
