Juantorena
In a talk with gazzetta.it, Osmany Juantorena revelaed his plans for the future.
“I wanted to go back to Trento and Italy in general. Had contact with Lube, Modena and Perugia but in the end Halkbank made the best offer out of the four I’ve had so the choice was not that hard. We had a great season in Turkey and will continue to build on it.”
How did you adjust to life in Turkey?
“It was very hard to adapt after five years i spent living in Trento. But never the less I’m now used to culture and life in Ankara.”
How will Halkbank look in the 2014/2015 season?
“I hope we will have a strong team. Of course it wouldn’t be as strong as it was the last season with Kaziyski, Raphael and Djurić but club is ambitious and I’m sure they will make some big signings. Also I’ve heard that coach Hoag maybe our new boss.”

Hoag will never go to another team. He feels like home in Arkas Izmir. He is under contract with the team and even it expires he will prefer to stay in Izmir. So Halkbank has to find another coach but i am not sure if they can find a top level coach like Hoag…
It will be a shame if they end up with Placi. 🙁
Lets see who will be their second spiker and setter.
I would really like to see Juantorena play with some other setter different than Rapha…
