TURKISH CUP W: Fenerbahçe and Eczacıbaşı sweep their rivals to punch semifinal tickets

Fenerbahçe and Eczacıbaşı filled the two remained berths in the semifinals of the Turkish Women’s Volleyball Cup.

The last season’s winners Fenerbahçe made it to the semis of the Turkish Cup as they swept Seramiksan by a 3-0, partially 25-22, 25-21, 25-18, in Ankara where the final rounds of the tournament are played.

Eczacıbaşı outclassed Nilüfer Belediyesi with the same result to complete the semifinals composition. The U.S. outside hitter Jordan Larson stood out in Eczacıbaşı with 19 points, while Serbian opposite Tijana Bošković made 14 points, of which 4 were aces. In Nilüfer, the Dutch Anne Buijs was the only double-digit player with 12 points.

Earlier today, two more teams booked their tickets for the semifinals.
