At the beginning of the game, USA was the team who took the four points advantage at the second TTO (16:12). Afterwards, Russia couldn’t reduce rival’s lead and after Anderson ace and one-handed block by Holt, home side had 1-0!
In the second set, Russia responded very quickly and in a very uncertain part of the game, they somehow managed to tie the score 1-1!
Away side took only 15 points in the third set and they were trailing again. The fourth set was the most exciting! Russia had two set points (25-24, 26-25) but they didn’t manage to do it! Anderson and a minute later Smith and Troy gave USA 28-26 and 3-1 win!
Troy Murphy was the top scorer on home side with 16 points. Anderson and Holt had points 15 each. On the other side Moroz scored 14, Ilinykh 12…
