Volleyball fans now have a clear and complete picture of what to expect from the long-awaited 2025 Volleyball Nations League, also known as the VNL Finals. Just a few days ago, Volleyball World officially released the full match schedule for both the women’s and men’s Final 8 tournaments. The announcement offers a detailed look at when and where the action inside the volleyball world will unfold. Since the knockout brackets are set and prime-time slots are filled, the countdown for the end of the VNL season has truly begun.
While this announcement mostly excites volleyball fans, it also draws attention from a wider audience, which includes sports analysts, fantasy league participants, and even bettors who are aiming to bet on the event via offshore operators. These platforms have become increasingly popular since they stay up-to-date and provide real-time odds and updates while also allowing bettors from regions without local betting markets to bet on almost anything. Additionally, there are many high-stakes matches ahead, which also boost the popularity of betting markets.
According to the announcement published on July 4, the women’s finals will be held at Atlas Arena in Łódź, Poland. They will start on July 23 and end on July 27. The men’s finals, on the other hand, will follow a week later. They will be held at the Beilun Sports and Arts Center in Ningbo, China. They will start on July 30 and end on August 3. Both of the tournaments adopt a single-elimination format, which features eight teams. Of the eight teams, seven are top-ranked teams from the preliminary round, and one is the host nation. This kind of structure guarantees a high-stakes atmosphere from the opening quarterfinals to the gold medal match.
Quarterfinal matchups in both events will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, with two games scheduled per day. In Łódź, the matches will begin at 16:30 and 20:00 local time. In Ningbo, the matches will begin at 15:00 and 19:00 local time. The times in both events are optimized to capture maximum viewership and are designed to accommodate global fans who are going to follow and cheer their national teams passionately.
After the quarterfinals come the semifinals. Between these, both of the tournaments have a one-day rest. Women’s semifinal matches in Poland will begin at 16:00 and 20:00 local time on July 26. The men’s semifinal matches in China, on the other hand, will begin at 15:00 and 19:00 on August 2.
The finals will take place on Sunday. On July 27, the women’s bronze medal match will begin at 16:00 and the gold medal match at 20:00. A week later, the men’s bronze and gold medal matches will begin on the same timeline on August 3. All of the matches from the quarterfinals to the gold medal matches will be streamed live via VBTV.
Although the participating teams have not been published yet, the schedule release sets the stage for what promises to be a thrilling end to the VNL season. The preliminary phase, which consists of 216 matches, is underway. It will determine which nations join the host countries in the final brackets.
