Bogdanka LUK Lublin pulled off a big surprise in the PlusLiga semifinals, defeating Jastrzębski Węgiel 3:1 in the first leg on the road. Wilfredo Leon stole the spotlight with a dominant 25-point performance, earning MVP honors.
Despite losing the first set 23:25, LUK bounced back in style, winning the next three sets (25:22, 25:18, 25:22). The intensity was high throughout, with both teams exchanging leads and emotional outbursts—especially from Jastrzębski’s coach Marcelo Mendez.
The second leg of this best-of-three series is set for Wednesday, April 23, at the Globus Arena in Lublin. A win for LUK would send them straight to the PlusLiga finals.
