Grupa Azoty Chemik Police is set to start the next season with a significant boost. The club recently announced the signing of Turkish outside hitter, Saliha Şahin, previously with Eczacibasi Istanbul. This move marks Şahin’s first venture outside her home country, Türkiye.

Sharing her sentiments on the move, Şahin stated, “This will be my first season outside of Türkiye. The excitement and curiosity about the new environment are overwhelming. I am determined to be a vital asset for the team. And if there’s one thing everyone should know, it’s that I never give up.”

Şahin comes with an impressive resume. Her accolades include a silver from the Champions League, silver and bronze medals from the Turkish league, a CEV Cup, silver and bronze in the club world championships, and two Turkish Super Cups. Recently, she clinched a gold medal at the Volleyball Nations League representing the Turkish national squad.

Currently, Şahin is in Istanbul gearing up for the European Championships and will join Grupa Azoty Chemik Police post the national team’s commitments.
