O.K. this is just a rumor but how “Volleywood” reported, according to their sources, the Cuban middle blocker traveled to Canada last week to meet with Federation’s officials.

Both parties reportedly discussed Simon’s chances of joining the Canadian National Team just in time for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

Recall that Yoandy Leal is now allowed to compete with Brazilian National Team, while Wilfredo León (from Cuban to Polish) and Leonel Marshall (from Cuban to Italian) will still have to wait for their turn to get new sports nationality.

FIVB approved the change of sports nationality to 13 players.
