INTERVIEW: Three shining stars of Kameroglu Beylikduze set to conquer the world!

1490 0

Turkey doesn’t have to worry about their future! These three young shining stars of Kameroglu Beylıkduze from the Turkish Sultan League, Melisa Memis (20), Buse Kara (20), Simay Kurt (18) are set to practice every day as they can achieve their volleyball goals.

WorldofVolley have reached them out to ask about their feelings and goals.

How is the feeling of playing in one of the best volleyball leagues in the world?

BK: “Well, it’s hard and stressful but playing against the best volleyball players in the world in the same league is unique and very important for my personal experience. I am very happy to be part of this league.”

MM: “I can say the same as my teammate Buse, it’s hard and stressful but I am very proud of my coach Mehmet Bedestenlioglu’s trust in me. He gave me a big responsibility at my young age and his trust gave me more self-confidence

SK: “To play in such a hard league with the age of 18 is for me big opportunity to reach my future goals. It gives me more motivation and pride.”

What are your teams' goals this season?

BK: “My club is playing for the first time in their history in Sultans League. We are quite a young team mixed with experienced foreigners and team spirit. I think our teamwork scares other teams and depending on how strong other teams are, we play our game and put them in difficult situations. We work hard to have a good position at the end of season

MM: “We think step by step. Our first goal is to qualify for the playoff’s and then to have the necessary ranking for the European cups.”

SK: “We would like to have a successful season in our debut in Sultans League and to continue our journey in this high-level league.”

What are your personal goals in volleyball?

BK:I work every day, pushing myself towards the limits because I want always to be a player of Sultans League and the national team as well. Having more time on the court gives me more experience and self-confidence and I’m doing everything for my personal development.”

MM:For me, there is no limit, I like to go over my limits and to improve myself. I really want to be a part of historical successes and results with the club and national teams. And I will be more than happy if someone looks at me a sample player for the future”.

SK:I want to be the best player of my generation and represent my country in national competitions. I am sure that my hard work will pay off.”

Hard work always pays off. Even though these girls have just begun their volleyball journey, they obviously have mature thinking…

Supreme are the favorite to win this tournament with their strong majority core NT members, but if they aren't focus, could possibly go NEC Red Rockets way instead like in the pool stage. Reply
