Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle and U.S. Men’s Volleyball National Team member David Smith will continue their mutual collaboration.
Smith, a two-time winner of the CEV Champions League, Polish Championship, Cup, and Super Cup with ZAKSA, has decided to stay for another season.
The titled member of the United States National Team joined the Kędzierzyn-Koźle side before the 2019–20 season. The current season is Smith’s fourth there. It means that 2023-24 will be the fifth season that a 37-year-old middle blocker will spend in the ranks of the PlusLiga powerhouse, and in his rich career, he played five seasons only in French Tours.
