The third NORCECA Final Six Pan American Cup got off to an exhilarating start with Cuba and USA registering victories in their respective matches at the Palacio National Volleyball “Ricardo Arias” in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Cuba showcased a stellar performance in their debut match, clinching a straight-set victory (25-21, 25-14, 25-XX) against Puerto Rico. Ivy Vila emerged as the top scorer for the Cuban side, tallying 14 points. She was closely followed by Greisy Fine, who contributed 11 points to the win. Puerto Rico’s Norian Ceballos and Josdarilee Caraballo marked the scoreboard with 9 and 8 points respectively.
The second face-off of the day saw the USA maintain their dominance against Canada, winning in straight sets (25-16, 25-11, 25-15).
