The Polish Men’s Volleyball Championship side Jastrzębski Węgiel informed that they released Roberto Santilli from his duties of a head coach.

The Management Board of Jastrzębski Węgiel decided to part ways with the head coach Santilli because of the unsatisfactory level of the team’s play and the lack of expected results. At the same time, the PlusLiga team informed it will try to find the new solution for an empty post as soon as possible. The fitness coach, Australian Luke Reynolds, will take charge of the role of the head coach until then.

So far, Jastrzębski have 3-5 record in the 2019/20 PlusLiga regular season. Interestingly, the Italian expert Santilli was sacked on the night when his team achieved the second successive win in the competition: 3-2 vs. BKS Visła Bydgoszcz, on November 19.

This was the second mandate of Santilli in Jastrzębski. The first time, he led the team from 2007 to 2010 and won the national Cup and became the league’s runner-up. He again joined the club this summer, coming from Indykpol AZS Olsztyn.
