As Russian media reported, the players of Dinamo-Metar didn’t receive salaries since August! However, the team from Chelyabinsk won’t withdraw from the 2019/20 Superliga Parimatch, despite having multi-million ruble salary debts, because it’s expected that the financial situation in the club may improve in the near future.

According to the Ministry of Sports of the Chelyabinsk region, Dinamo-Metar have salary debts to players, coaches and staff, which will go up to 41 million rubles (approximately 580,000 euros) by December this year. Regional Ministry of Sports, Leonid Oder, accused the club director Vladimir Pakhomov of unprofessional conduct of the club’s financial activities, stating that 46 million rubles (about 650,000 euros) from the regional budget were allocated for wages to players and even though the debts have increased.

That’s why Pakhomov has been removed from his post and was replaced by the country’s former basketball player Vitaliy Nosov. However, Pakhomov stressed that the region has allocated less money than they claimed and the club was constantly underfunded. The three-time national cup winners Dinamo-Metar are placed second-to-last in the Superliga charts with 1-4.
