After Ratko Pavličević and Duško Nikolić, Syros hired Sasa Stefanovic for the season 2017/2018.
In the previous season, Syros new coach was in the Serbian Superleague, he coached Novi Pazar with whom he won the Serbian Cup 2017 for the first time in the club history and also won the second place in the Championship of the Serbian league.
Stafenovic participated in CEV Cup 2017 with his club and there they showed great potential.
