The season is over for an American outside hitter Megan Easy due to injury.

Easy, 29-year-old U.S. Women’s Volleyball National Team member from Imoco Volley Conegliano, sustained an injury in Italian Serie A1 match, a week ago. She had to leave the floor in the third set and until now, the extent of her injury was not known. But, as “Volleywood” revealed, Easy tore her left Achilles tendon. It means that the season is over for her!

Imoco will have to react quickly in the transfer market and it seems that their choice has fallen on an experienced Cristina Barcellini. A 30-year-old player parted ways with the Serie A1 defending champions Igor Gorgonzola Novara at the end of the 2016/17 season and is still a free agent despite conducting the training sessions with Foppapedretti Bergamo before the start of 2017/18.

If Imoco decide to contract Barcellini, they will not be able to do so before January 2018.
