The car of a 26-year-old player of Azimut Modena, the Italian Serie A1 powerhouse, has been pulled over by the police on the outskirts of the city of Modena in the night between Wednesday and Thursday, last week. A traffic stop determined that Ngapeth had a 1.98 of blood alcohol content which is high above the allowed limit of 0.50 alcoholic rate, “La Gazzetta dello Sport” reported.

The driving license and a car have been immediately taken away from the French National Team member by the order of the police. As “La Gazzetta dello Sport” learned, one of Azimut Modena employees went to pick up the athlete’s car at the tow truck depo, the next day. At the time of traffic control, Ngapeth was alone in his vehicle but was returning from the nightlife with five Azimut Modena teammates.

The club itself did not want to comment on the incident. Ngapeth has informed the club’s officials of what happened that night but he, along with his five teammates, will likely be fined.

“La Gazzetta dello Sport” also reported that the French player is waiting for the hearing on March 28 for the car accident in which he has been involved two years ago.

If you are at 1,98 and you can, somehow, still handle your car, you have a serious problem with acohol, to say it mildly…..
