The Turkish men’s volleyball side Ziraat Bankası terminated the contract with the German outside hitter Denis Kaliberda.

A 27-year-old German player Denis Kaliberda is no longer a member of Ziraat Bankası, who parted ways with him just before the start of the playoffs in the 2017-2018 Efeler Ligi.

Kaliberda’s playing time has been significantly reduced with the arrival of an Italian Oleg Antonov, and a recovery of the Pole Bartosz Kurek. Also, the Montenegrin Vojin Ćaćić, who was also injured, has returned to the roster. Kaliberda was not even signed up for the game of the last round in the regular season against Halkbank.

According to the Turkish media, the German outside hitter returned to his home country.

This season, Kaliberda averaged 11 points in the national championship, being especially effective in this segment in the first two months of the season

What a stupid decision! Technically, Kaliberda is far better than Oleg Antonov, and he was in good shape.
