The largest number of Croatian players play in Europe, in the near-by Slovenia, where 8 players compete.
After Slovenia, most represented leagues with Croats are French, Italian, German and Romanian leagues, where over 30 Croatian men and women players build their respective careers.
Croatian international, 25-year old opposite Leo Andrić plays in Ansan, South Korea, competing in Korean V-League as an only foreigner in the club.
His international teammate who played for 10 different clubs in his career, 30-year old Ivan Raič decided to switch his maiden club Mladost Zagreb for Belarusian Shakhtar Soligorsk this winter.
Another Croatian international “earns his bread” abroad, in the far Middle-East, 32-year old Danijel Galić, who after Argentina, United Arab Emirates and Indonesia, continued his rich career in Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli Jeddah.
Captain of Croatian women’s national team, Samanta Fabris replaced Italy with cold Russia, playing in Russian Superleague and CEV Cup for Dinamo Kazan, while her teammate Nikolina Božičević continued her career in the home of Santa Claus, Finland, playing for Pölkky Kuusamo along with Lucia Babić.
Matea Magdić is another “lonely soul” as an only foreigner in Chinese Tapei (Taiwan), playing for CMFC women’s volleyball club.
