The reigning African champions Cameroon wrecked Botswana at the start of the continental Olympic Qualification Tournament. Despite vying for a place in Tokyo without their best player – the MVP of the 2019 African Nations Championship, Laetitia Moma Bassoko – Cameroon had no problems in the opener, leaving rivals at only 4 points in the 2nd set: 3-0 (25-17, 25-4, 27-25)!

Kenya launched their #RoadToTokyo campaign on the right path, beating Egypt in 4 sets. Kenya are playing the tournament in Yaoundé without their major star Janet Wanja who canceled participation for personal reasons.
