Facundo Conte and Federico Pereyra topped scored with 13 points each for Argentina while Matey Kaziyski scored 10 for Bulgaria in the first Pool D clash.
Argentina got of to a good start with the float serves of Frederico Pereyra causing huge problems for the Bulgarian reception. Bulgaria’s top attackers Matey Kaziyski and Vladimir Nikolov curtailed up to three points for a short period but it was the Argentines who clearly took the set 25-14.
