A 26-year-old native of the city of Bolívar, Edgardo Lioca, returned to Personal Bolívar after one season which he spent in PSM Vóley. He was formed as a volleyball player in Personal Bolívar’s base categories before he made his debut for the senior team in 2010/2011.

Personal Bolívar officials were forced to make this transfer as one of the setters from the 2017/18 roster, Demián Gonzalez, who was projected to be the starter, suffered an injury that will sideline him for a while.
