IDN: List of all foreign players in 2017 Indonesian volleyball top division

Indonesian volleyball is experiencing expansion on a club level in recent years, mostly due to signing international players. The 16th edition of volleyball Championship of Indonesia, Proliga (started in January 27), will have 22 foreigners overall, 10 in Men’s and 12 in Women’s competition.

The 2017 Men’s Proliga is composed of six teams, same as last year, while Women’s league of five teams from 2016 will be increased by two participants. Every club, both in Men’s and Women’s competition, has at least one international of which some of them started the season in leagues around the world before coming to Indonesia.

Jakarta BNI Taplus: Igor Iuri Nascimento (middle blocker, Brazil), Nenad Šormaz (receiver, Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Jakarta Elektrik PLN: Bartosz Krzysiek (opposite, Poland)

Jakarta Pertamina Energi: Paul Sanderson (receiver, Australia), Aleksandar Minić (opposite, Montenegro)

WOMEN

Bandung Bank BJB: Ivana Nešović (opposite, Serbia), Sonja Percan (receiver, Croatia)

Batam Sindo BVN: Polina Liutikova (opposite, Ukraine)

Jakarta BNI Taplus: Jaimie Thibeault (middle blocker, Canada), Sonja Milanović (receiver, Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Jakarta Elektrik PLN (defending champions): Lindsay Stalzer (receiver, USA), María José Pérez (recever, Venezuela)

Gresik Petrokimia: Hayley Spelman (opposite, USA)

Jakarta Pertamina Energi: Regan Hood-Scott (receiver, USA), Anna Stepaniuk (receiver, Ukraine)

Jakarta PGN Popsivo: Jessica Walker (middle blocker, USA), Gina Mambrú (opposite, Dominican Republic)
