The team from Incheon, top seed, took 1-0 lead in the playoff finals against No.2 IBK Altos after prevailing in an exhausting game at home 3-2 (25-13, 20-25, 25-22, 13-25, 15-13). The two teams did not have same amount of time to prepare for the final series. The Pink Spiders had 10 days since they finished Regular Season as leaders and directly advanced to the finals, whilst the Altos had less than two days after eliminating KGC Daejeon in the semis.

Despite having a top scorer of the game, U.S. receiver Madison Rishel (28 points), the Altos did not manage to make a break in the final series, their fifth in a row. Kim Hee-Jin added 19. Canadian opposite Tabitha Love collected 27 on the other side, followed by 24 from Lee Jae-Yeong.

The finals will be played until one team reaches three wins. The next game is scheduled at the Altos’ gymnasium, on March 26.
