The second seed Praia once again defeated No.7 Fluminense in straight sets to close the Superliga Cimed 2018-2019 quarterfinal series. The team from Uberlândia nipped any effort of their rivals in the bud to score a straight-set win, partially partial 25-15, 25-15, 25-21.

American Nicole Fawcett was the best scorer for Praia with 14 points while Thaís Souza was the closest to double digits in Fluminense – 9 points. A pursuit of defending champions Praia for their second title in the competition will continue against the winners of a matchup between Sesi Vôlei Bauru and Sesc RJ.

Thanks to 22 points from Natália Zilio and five kill blocks from Mara Leão, the top seed Itambé Minas beat No.8 Curitiba Vôlei by a 3-1 in Game 2 to secure their place in the semis.
