Despite not playing for almost a month, Sesc had no problem finding the rhythm in the first round of the 2nd half of the regular season in the 2019/20 Superliga Feminina. The team coached by Bernardo Rezende “Bernardinho” easily beat Curitiba to remain leaders of the competition: 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-20). Tandara Caixeta highlighted Sesc with 15 points, while Amanda Francisco made 81% reception (16 digs, 50% perfect). Sabrina Machado also scored 15 points but for the losing side.

Dentil/Praia Clube continued breathing down Sesc’s neck in the charts. After beating Valinhos by a 3-0, which was their 5th successive win, the vice-champions came in 2nd, having the same record as the Rio de Janeiro team (11-1) and the same number of points (32) but lower set-ratio.

The champions Itambé/Minas returned to the victorious path after suffering 2 failures in a row. The Belo Horizonte side prevailed over C.R. Flamengo in 4 sets.

Sesi Vôlei Bauru ended their losing streak of 3 games as they beat Esporte Clube Pinheiros by a 3-1.
