Olympic champion and one of Brazil’s most decorated volleyball players, Bruno “Bruninho” Rezende, has signed with Vôlei Renata for the next two seasons. The announcement was made during an event at the Selmi factory, home of the Renata brand, in Sumaré, alongside new teammate Judson Nunes.
Bruninho returns to Campinas after nearly two decades. The city holds special significance for him as the birthplace of his mother, Vera Mossa, a volleyball legend in her own right. He developed his early skills at Clube Fonte São Paulo, a foundational part of his new team’s project. Bruninho expressed deep personal ties to Campinas, where his maternal family resides, enhancing the significance of his return.
Throughout his illustrious career, Bruninho has achieved tremendous success both domestically and internationally. In Brazil, he won seven Superliga titles and a Copa Brasil with teams like Unisul, Cimed, RJX, and Taubaté. Abroad, his leadership helped Italian teams such as Lube Civitanova and Modena to national, European, and world titles.
