In the Brazilian Women’s Superliga, Sesi Bauru and Unilife Maringá emerged victorious in their respective matches.
Sesi Bauru Impresses at Home
Playing in front of their fans at the Arena Paulo Skaf, Sesi Bauru put on a show, defeating Batavo Mackenzie in straight sets (25-18, 25-18, 25-15).
Venezuelan standout Roslandy Acosta was the star of the match, racking up 14 points and taking home the Troféu VivaVôlei. Teammates Kasiely Clemente (12 points) and Mayany Souza (11 points) also had stellar games. Mackenzie’s Kimberlly Gomes fought hard, leading her team with 13 points.
Maringá Takes a Big Step
Unilife Maringá traveled to São Paulo and secured a critical win, sweeping Pinheiros 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-21). The victory was a big boost for Maringá, lifting them to eighth place in the standings with 13 points. Meanwhile, Pinheiros continues to struggle, stuck in the relegation zone with just two points from nine matches.
Jaqueline Schmitz led the way for Maringá with 13 points and earned the Troféu VivaVôlei.
