This is definitely a big shock! Camila Brait announced her retirement from the national team at the age of 27! Recall that this excellent libero got cut out from the Brazil team just before the Rio Olympics, and that is something that obviously made her leave the national team for good.

“With heavy heart, but also with a feeling of acomplishment, I want to announce my retirement from the national team. I dedicated my last 8 years to the national team of Brazil, while I am sure that I will now find some new dreams to pursue in my life. At the end, this does not mean my national team journey was not worth it. It was worth it. I have met many people who became part of my life. I want to thank to my fans who have always been on my side. Also, thank you my beautiful family for giving me the supoort I need. Love you all! Also, girls, I believe in you! Bring the GOLD to Brazil!” wrote Camila Brait on social networks.

Camila Brait suffered a late cut from the national team both before the London 2012 and now before the Rio 2016. Her husband even went public and stated that she did not deserve such a treatment from her country.
