A 32-year-old icon of the Brazilian Women’s volleyball, who joined Praia Clube last season after spending four years in Sesi-SP, signed a new deal with the club from Minas Gerais state (a state where she was born) for 2017/2018, formalizing the offer she accepted three months ago.
“Thank God, I’m back home. I’m very happy to have renewed this contract. Last season we didn’t reach our goals. I believe, however, that there were some lessons and some situations that we should not repeat. In time, you learn there are certain paths you shouldn’t follow. This season will be different, with a different group. We’ll work hard to achieve our goals,” a two-time Olympic Games winner and seven-time FIVB World Grand Prix gold medalist Fabiana said at a press conference, organized by her club, where she was presented.
