Maybe the strength of their squad isn’t good enough to measure up with the best teams in the Russian Championship (3rd from the bottom in the charts), but Minchanka Minsk continued to delight their fans with the performance in European competition.
The team from the Belarussian capital successfully overpassed the visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina and qualified to the quarterfinals of the second-tier of the club competitions under the CEV. Minchanka upgraded the sweep from the first leg and beat ŽOK Bimal-Jedinstvo Brčko by a 3-1 (25-21, 25-21, 22-25, 25-15) in the rematch.
The Russian international Olga Bogdanova top-scored for Minchanka with 16 points. Anđelka Radišković delivered 19 points for Jedinstvo.
