In Round 3 of Pool B of the 2021 CEV Women’s Champions League, A. Carraro Imoco Conegliano swept Turkey’s Fenerbahçe Opet İstabul at home in Treviso, achieving the third straight-set win in the pool stage. Furthermore, the Italian side recorded the 35th victory in a row, rounding up a whole year without suffering a defeat! Paola Egonu notched 18 points (4 aces), while American Kimberly Hill set up 4 blocks.
Turkey’s Eczacıbaşı VitrA İstanbul – Pool D hosts – stormed past Russia’s Dinamo Moscow and closed the first tournament undefeated. American Chiaka Ogbogu was the most prolific player of the ’Tigers’ with 18 points of which 12 came from the block!
Russia’s Lokomotiv Kaliningrad Region and France’s VB Nantes wrote down their first wins in Pool D and Pool B, respectively.
