The Serbian girls have scored the second win in the Volleyball Nations League, beating South Korea 3-1 (15-25, 25-18, 25-17, 25-14).
In front of the home fans, Serbia didn’t open the game in a good way since the girls from Korea took the lead after convincing display in the first set 25-15.
However, as of the start of the second set, Serbia controlled the situation on the court to grab a victory.
Ana Bjelica was the best scorer with 19 points, while Mina Popovic contributed with 15 points. Sohwi Kang had the best display on the other side, finishing the game with 16 points.
Turkey joined the elite group of teams that have a perfect score after two days of competing in the first weekend as they beat the Netherlands by a 3-1 (25-22, 25-14, 21-25, 25-15) in Pool 4.
Last night a teenager Ebrar Karakurt shined for Turkey. Today, another prospect did the same. A 21-year-old outside hitter Hande Baladın scored game-high 21 points. Kübra Çalışkan made 5 of Turkey’s 18 kill blocks, while Zehra Güneş served 4 aces. Nicole Oude Luttikhuis was the best scorer in the Durch team, who suffered the second defeat in the tournament, with 15 points. Juliet Lohuis made 4 aces.
