Volleyball Challenger Cup has been designated as a qualifying tournament for the Volleyball Nations League, giving the Volleyball Challenger Cup winners their place in the next edition of the Volleyball Nations League. With the current decision, the system of promotion and relegation of Volleyball Challenger Cup winners and lower ranked Volleyball Nations League teams will be frozen for the 2021 season.

So, all sixteen teams from this year’s edition will also participate in the next edition of the Volleyball Nations League in 2022.
